The masterclass Fundraising 101: Navigating Investor Questions at IT Hub, Altinho, by Ms. Snigadha Manchanda, Founder & CEO of Tea Trunk, shared key fundraising strategies. From standing firm on funding goals to leveraging personal narratives and learning from failures, founders gained valuable insights to attract investors and scale their ventures.

The masterclass Perfect Your Investor Pitch at BITS BioCytih Goa featured insights from Mr. Shashank Randev, Co-Founder of 100X.VC, on refining investor pitches, managing finances, and building scalable startups. Entrepreneurs learned how to craft compelling narratives, attract the right investors, and secure long-term funding

The Flip the Classroom: From Problems to Progress at BITS Pilani Goa, gave startup founders with expert guidance on overcoming real-world challenges. Entrepreneurs, including Mr. Akshay Terdalkar (Nutri Coco) and Mr. Nitin Naik (Evac Safe Pvt. Ltd.), received tailored advice on scaling operations, marketing strategies, and customer acquisition.

Flip the Classroom – September, FiiRE

The Flip the Classroom: Startup Struggles – Wisdom from the Ecosystem at FiiRE, Margao, created a platform for Goa’s startup founders, including Mr. Akhilesh Bhisso of Innovent, Mr. Tanay Rataboli of BoneVi, and Mr. Neeraj D. Naik of Vishkar Modernizing Construction, to address their real-world business challenges. They gained valuable guidance on refining their business models, building industry connections, and strengthening their networks of mentors

Drone Stakeholder Meet – September, IT Hub

The DITE&C meeting with drone ecosystem stakeholders focused on strengthening the Goa Drone Policy 2022 to enhance pilot training, establish R&D labs, and attract at least three drone companies to the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster in Tuem by March 2025. This updated policy aims to support local drone innovation, create job opportunities, and raise awareness of drone technology across various industries.

In the 8th edition of First Fridays, the SITPC discussed the proposed Goa Design Policy aimed at establishing the state as the Design Capital of India while enhancing collaboration among creative professionals. Mr. Deepak Pathania, Chief Design Officer at Seahorse Air Limited (UK) and Director at Design Intervention (India), announced the pre-launch of the Creative Community of Goa (CCG) website for community members to connect and collaborate.

The masterclass on “Demystifying the When, How, Who, and How Much of Fundraising” by Mr. Ritwik Khator and Mr. Kartikeyan Khator, Founders of Startup Indian and Partners at Chunder Khator Associates (CKA) highlighted the significance of timing, equity retention, and strategic fundraising sources while guiding early-stage startups through the fundraising process.

India Mobile Congress (IMC) – October, Delhi

Goa made its mark at the 8th India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024 in New Delhi by showcasing three innovative startups—DishaAI Edutech Solutions, Incubig, and SwachhAI. The Honorable Minister for Tourism, Information Technology, Electronics, and Communications, Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte, advocated for improved network connectivity to position the state as an emerging knowledge destination.

The Goa Startup Yatra Bootcamp 2024, organized by the Startup & IT Promotion Cell, provided aspiring entrepreneurs with hands-on training and mentorship from industry experts through workshops on business model development, AI presentations, and scaling strategies, culminating in a pitching competition.

G-Tech 3.0 – October, Panjim

G-Tech 3.0, the largest multiverse technology expo hosted by the Computer Dealer’s Forum of Goa (CDFG), gave startups a platform to showcase their latest products and solutions. The expo featured Goa-based startups, including Asier Solutions, Spatialcraft, Coderix, Perceptionist Solutions, Rachane Engineering, and Neokul.

Amazing Goa – November, Taleigao

The Amazing Goa Global Business Summit 2024 featured the Amazing Goa Business Expo, where the DITE&C, Government of Goa supported local entrepreneurs by hosting a dedicated startup zone. This zone showcased innovations from startups such as Contractzy, Asier Solutions, Perceptionyst Solutions, Spatialcraft, Comptrack, DishaAI, Diagopreutic, rixCast by Coderix Solutions LLP, and Qurious Mind, strengthening global partnerships.

Tech Media – November, Panjim

The Tech Media Startup Expo 2024, part of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and Film Bazaar, was a five-day event showcasing India's growing influence in the tech media sector. The expo emphasized Goa's aspiration to become the “Creative Capital of India” and laid the groundwork for the state to emerge as a premier destination for technology and creativity.

The First Friday Meetup Episode 09 showcased presentations by architect Mr. Kapil Surlekar on architectural lighting design and photographer Mr. Pankaj Shah, who expressed his interest in mentoring aspiring photographers. The event also highlighted the launch of the CCG website as a significant milestone in strengthening the creative ecosystem.

National Startup Day – January, Panjim

National Startup Day 2024 featured a day-long series of workshops, a masterclass, and panel discussions with industry leaders, recognizing 12 outstanding startups for their contributions to the ecosystem. A key highlight was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of IT and HDFC, committing INR 99 lakhs to support startups targeting Sustainable Development Goals.
